Screen Repaint: Mulan

Description

I think this one didn't turn out as good as the last one. But it was a lot of fun to make. It's tricky figuring out how materials should be drawn when they are wet.

The changes I made to the screen is.
- Heavier downpour.
- Larger statue. (The design was changed just for fun. But the size was increased to emphasize the fact that Mulan feels powerless when she prays for the family guardian, who she sees as strong, for help.)
- Lowered on the screen: This I did for three reasons. First because I wanted the statue to fit. Second because she is feeling down. And lastly because in the clip just before this she is looking at her reflection. And the puddle she did look at isn't there so I just moved her closer to the pond.
- Blurred the background: I really didn't want to draw all those leaves.

So to begin with WOW this version has so much more impact than the original screen shot. the fact that you put so much detail in everything from making the statue bigger to more rain fascinates me. The rocks / pavement look so much better with the outline done darker, it gives it a more grungier feel. Enlarging the dragon statue and moving it closer to the pond was a great more, it gives more emphasis to her looking at her reflection making the image behind it more powerful, I truly feel she is at a lose of what to do. Heavier rain makes everything more depressing which is exactly what this needed! A picture worthy of praise!
