This idea hit me yesterday and I spent most of today making it. My guess is it took around 12 hours to make.

Vision Originality Technique ImpactThis was a very moving piece of artwork.I must say, I'm not much of a Trixie fan, but this put her in a different light for me. The quality of the image is amazing, and the emotional value is rather high. I'm actually wondering which Ponyville revelation this was after: The Boast busting or the Alicorn Amulet Incident?
Anyways, I really like the shading in the background, and Canterlot, perched high on the mountain,standing stoically before the rainstorm, partially hidden by clouds... It kind of reminds me of Laputa from Castle in the sky. Also, Is the small town in the background, on the ground, Ponyville? or some other town, maybe? I don't know, and it's not really necessary for this critique. All in all, an amazing piece of work with a great revelation to it.
